Works have been taking place over the last year to relevel, regrade and recondition the sports pitches at Finchley Memorial Hospital in order to improve the quality of the grassed playing surfaces. The works on the two five-aside pitches and one 11-aside pitch were completed and opened for use by the public in April.
The hospital opened on 20th July 2012 and provides a wide range of health and wellbeing services to the local population. The landscaping of the former Bow Lanes playing fields was completed to create a new health campus. Alongside the sports pitches, the health campus includes a memorial garden and a therapy garden that is utilised by the clinical teams.
