Charles Hollwey

Charles Hollwey   Chairman

Charles is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and a Member of the Institute of Health Service Management. Charles is a retired NHS Chief Executive with his overall career in the NHS lasting 32 years and included being a Finance Director, Commissioning Director and Manager of community services.

Since leaving the NHS he has undertaken a number of roles, in particular with regard to setting up Social Enterprises and developing new health facilities through Public Private Partnerships (PPP). He is currently Chair of North London Estate Partnerships. Additionally he is Treasurer of Haven House Children’s Hospice in North East London.

Jamie Andrews

Jamie Andrews   Director

Jamie’s early career was in Architecture, working in conservation and residential sector before moving to a role in the NHS supporting investment in primary and dental premises. This developed into a full time estates role which included strategic estates planning and project management.

After several years in the private sector consultancy services working in 3pd, LIFT, PFI and capital developments in the UK and abroad Jamie returned to the NHS in 2007, taking a PCT role where he set up and led the Strategic Asset Management Function eventually transferring the assets and staff into NHS Property Services.

Jamie took up the role of Investment Director for Community Health Partnerships looking after their investment portfolio of LIFT Schemes in London. Alongside this regional role Jamie took on a national responsibility to develop CHP’s innovation programme for the improved delivery of new schemes and efficiency of existing estate.

Frank Schramm

Frank Schramm   Director

Frank has worked in the Public Private Partnership sector, investment banking and advisory business for over 19 years. Prior to his current role with the BBGI Group, he worked at the Bilfinger Project Investments (BPI) which he led as Co-Managing Director the European PPP operations with over 60 staff. 

Before joining Bilfinger, Frank worked at Macquarie Bank in the Investment Banking group where he was responsible for structured finance transactions. Prior to that he worked at Deutsche Anlagen Leasing (DAL) and Bilfinger Berger BOT GmbH.

Ian Tayler   Director

Ian is the BBGI Director representative on the Board.  He is a Chartered Management Accountant and has a wealth of corporate and operational experience of delivering and managing public sector contracts for both Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) schemes across several different sectors.

Bernadette Conroy

Bernadette Conroy   Local public Sector Director

Bernadette brings nearly 20 years of experience working at an executive level within the Financial Services Sector and more recently at a non-executive level in the housing and regeneration, health and education arenas, including seven years as a Non-Executive Director within the NHS. With a wealth of experience working across the public and private sector, Bernadette’s unique background combines property management and development, finance, healthcare and education.

Alongside her in-depth knowledge of financial and risk management, Bernadette has a comprehensive understanding of the property and urban regeneration sector and healthcare commissioning landscape.

Georgi Shopov   Director

Georgi is the second BBGI Director representative on the Board.  In his current role in BBGI, he is part of the business' valuation, asset acquisitions and asset management teams.

Prior to joining BBGI, he graduated as a Masters in Finance from London Business School and began his career in the Public Private Partnership (PPP) and Private Finance Initiatives (PFI) schemes in 2011 in a financial modelling capacity for advisory businesses  working on  a multitude of transactions in the PPP/PFI sectors.
